1. Introduction

Welcome to Engage Conservation! These Terms and Conditions govern your participation as a volunteer with Engage Conservation. By applying for and accepting a volunteer placement, you agree to comply with these terms.

2. Eligibility

• Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

• Volunteers must complete all required application forms and provide accurate information.

• Acceptance into a volunteer placement is at the discretion of Engage Conservation.
   

3. Volunteer Responsibilities

• Volunteers are expected to commit to the agreed duration and schedule of the placement.

• Volunteers must perform their duties responsibly, ethically, and in accordance with instructions from Engage Conservation staff.

• Volunteers must respect local laws, cultural norms, and the environment in which they work.

• Volunteers are required to attend all training and orientation sessions.
   

4. Health and Safety

• Volunteers must inform Engage Conservation of any medical conditions or allergies that may affect their participation.

• Volunteers are responsible for their own health and safety, including obtaining appropriate vaccinations and travel insurance.

• Engage Conservation reserves the right to terminate a placement if a volunteer's behavior compromises their own safety or that of others.
   

5. Expenses

• Volunteers are responsible for covering their own travel, accommodation, and living expenses unless otherwise stated.

• Engage Conservation may provide details of recommended accommodation and local facilities but is not responsible for any associated costs.
   

6. Code of Conduct

• Volunteers must treat all Engage Conservation staff, other volunteers, and community members with respect and courtesy.

• Harassment, discrimination, or any form of misconduct will not be tolerated and will result in immediate termination of the volunteer placement.

• Volunteers must not engage in illegal activities or consume illegal substances during their placement.
   

7. Confidentiality

• Volunteers may have access to sensitive information. All information must be kept confidential and not disclosed without explicit permission from Engage Conservation.

• Volunteers must not use any information obtained during their placement for personal gain or to the detriment of Engage Conservation.
   

8. Intellectual Property

• Any materials or work produced by volunteers during their placement become the property of Engage Conservation.

• Volunteers grant Engage Conservation the right to use, reproduce, and distribute these materials without compensation.
   

9. Termination

• Engage Conservation reserves the right to terminate a volunteer placement at any time for any reason.

• Volunteers may terminate their placement with reasonable notice and in coordination with Engage Conservation staff.
   

10. Liability

• Engage Conservation is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred by volunteers during their placement.

• Volunteers participate at their own risk and are advised to obtain appropriate insurance coverage.

• No refunds will be given if a volunteer decides to terminate their stay early.
   

11. Changes to Terms and Conditions

• Engage Conservation reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Volunteers will be notified of any significant changes.
   

12. Governing Law

• These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the country in which Engage Conservation is registered.
